DevOps Kubernetes Engineer @ Innovative Tech.

Within Devoteam Morocco's Nearshore teams, you will join the DevOps & Automation tribe: an enthusiastic and expert team in the integration, deployment, administration, and observability of Kubernetes container orchestration solutions on Hybrid (Rancher, OpenShift, Tanzu) & Multi-Cloud (AKS, EKS, GKE) platforms.
You will be the essential link for:
Administer Kubernetes clusters, whether managed (AKS, EKS, GKE) or not:
- Deploy and configure a Kubernetes cluster: the etcd service, master and worker nodes, establishing secure communication between them, certificate management, integration of a container registry, configuration of basic components (CNI, CRI, Storage Class, Cluster Roles ...) and security (hardening)
- Automate their deployment using appropriate tools: kubeadm, kops (EKS, GKE), kubespray (VM, bare metal) and Kubernetes distribution tools such as Rancher and Openshift
- Allocate and manage cluster resources, such as CPU, memory, storage, to ensure optimal application performance
- Use Kubernetes objects such as deployments, services, and pods to deploy and manage containerized applications within the cluster
- Scale by dynamically adjusting the number of application replicas based on load to ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Manage cluster, node, and application updates transparently while ensuring continuous availability
- Implement security practices: role and authorization management (RBAC), network security policy configuration (Network Policies), and secret management.
- Set up monitoring tools to track cluster performance, detect errors and failures, and collect metrics for analysis (Prometheus, Grafana …).
- Implement application data backup mechanisms and cluster configuration elements, as well as restoration procedures in case of failure
- Collect and analyze container and cluster component logs for troubleshooting and security
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks, adjust configurations, and optimize overall cluster performance
- Diagnose and resolve problems related to the cluster, applications, and containers
- Plan and implement scalability strategies to cope with increased workloads
- Engage in a DevSecOps approach to manage code versions, create, store, and scan container images, and automate the deployment of components and applications, adopting GitOps if appropriate
Provide expertise on Kubernetes and its ecosystem:
- Participate in the adoption of Kubernetes, taking into account business requirements and best practices
- Provide support to internal teams (referent, training, coaching), including making detailed documentation available on cluster architecture and management
- Work in close collaboration with development, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure successful deployment and continuous cluster management
- Be ready to intervene in escalation support and in case of critical incidents by implementing emergency plans and recovery procedures
- Plan and carry out regular cluster updates, ensuring version compatibility and continuous availability of hosted applications
- Implement and maintain security standards in compliance with corporate security policies and best practices
- Identify and implement cost optimization strategies related to the resources used by the cluster
- Conduct technological watch on the Kubernetes ecosystem and propose solutions aimed at continuously guaranteeing and improving the service offered
You will demonstrate your full potential through your mastery of technical fundamentals, your thorough knowledge of Kubernetes and its ecosystem, which you will use, and above all, by asserting your willingness to understand the needs and service offerings on which you will work.

What assets to join the team?

Engineering degree or equivalent

At least 5 years of experience in the role

Proven experience in Kubernetes cluster administration and expert support

CKA, CKS, CKAD certification(s) is(are) a plus, confirming practical experience

Mastery of CI/CD integration tools and agile working methods

Excellent interpersonal skills, you like working in a team

Additional Information.
- Position based in Morocco in our Rabat and/or Casablanca offices and open only for permanent contracts (CDI)
